Holidays, birthdays, whatever celebration it may be, we’ve got you covered. Take a look at our ultimate gamer’s gift guide to find out what your gamer really wants for the holidays. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sending me to Best Buy to look at gaming gear for my husband or kids would be similar to sending my husband to the mall to buy shoes for our children. Without specific instructions, disaster would most certainly ensue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, when I asked my kids what they wanted for Christmas and got the generic response of \u201cstuff for the Switch\u201d or \u201ca new game for the Xbox,\u201d I shook my head. I told them they better be incredibly clear with Santa or they may end up disappointed. A day later, a very precise lists of wants showed up on my pillow. Progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After consulting their list and the lists of several friends\u2019 kids who are very, very into online gaming (as well as a few blogs and online gaming forums), I was able to put together a pretty thorough list of gaming must-haves this holiday season sure to delight gamers of all ages and abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n

Without further ado, here it is: The Ultimate Gamer\u2019s Gift Guide <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. Gaming headphones. Gaming headphones<\/a> with noise cancellation and a microphone were at the top of everyone\u2019s list. Bonus<\/em>: these can be used for virtual schooling, too! I was referred to a variety of brands, and the headphones suggested to me ranged for $15 to $300. I had three different friends recommend these headphones<\/a> to me, and the price was right! If you have girly girls like I do, these are cute and come well-recommended!<\/li>
  2. Gaming Gift Cards. When a friend informed me that my local Target sells Roblox Robux<\/a> in $10 increments, I was out the door to snag some before I could thank her for the recommendation. Gaming gift cards, it seems, are at the top of everyone\u2019s holiday wish list. Roblox offers Robux gift cards, Xbox offers gift cards, Fortnite offers V Bucks. All of these virtual currencies can be traded in in-game for various additional features. Easy stocking stuffers!<\/li>
  3. The Oculus Quest 2.<\/a> People gave me this answer so often I wondered why my own children have yet to request it. I have to imagine they don\u2019t know what it is because it looks pretty awesome and now I\u2019m fairly certain I may want this Virtual Reality gaming experience from Facebook!<\/li>
  4. New games. Each kiddo I\u2019ve come across has had a new game on his or her holiday wish list. Several requested the new PGA 2k21 game, others want new Mario games for the Nintendo Switch. My husband is waiting for the new Zelda to drop but as added the new Hyrule Warriors<\/a> game to his list.<\/li>
  5. A gaming chair. When my middle daughter plays video games at her bestie\u2019s house, she comes home raving about his \u201cawesome gaming chair<\/a>\u201d that \u201cvibrates and makes noise.\u201d Pricing for these runs the gamut, but the reviews for the less expensive chairs at Walmart are fairly decent. The double rocker looks awesome, too, if you have siblings who like to game together!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The other most-requested items from friends were the Xbox X and the PlayStation 5. The gaming world has exploded so much since my younger brothers were first gifted the original Nintendo with the Duck Hunt add-on for Christmas in the late 80s. Now there are so many options and systems it can be overwhelming. Ask your child to make a specific list if there is something in particular he is hoping to get under the tree! An Amazon Wish List is never a bad idea at our house- then my kids can\u2019t complain I bought the wrong thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
