Hacking is when someone remotely gain access into an account that does not belong to them. They bypass the security aspects, such as passwords and find a back door into the account.<\/p>\n\n\n

People hack for many reasons. Some of the most common reasons include: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Stealing personal data: Trying to get someone’s personal data such as banking information, passwords, social media accounts, and other personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revenge: Someone might hack for the purpose of revenge. They use the information with the purpose of exposing or embarrassing the victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blackmail: Stolen information is used to blackmail an individual into giving them money, sending or publishing compromising or sexually explicit images or in some cases, breaking the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a few different types of hackers: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Script Kids: These are young kids who are “having fun” on the internet. They are looking to mess with other kids, or mess around on websites or networks for “fun”.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Recreational “hackers”: These are peotple who are really good with computers who intrude on networks when they feel they have a valid reason to do so in their mind. They aim to disrupt a website or network due to holding a grudge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Professionals: These are expert hackers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Tips to avoid hacking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Don’t share information in public spaces <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
